Yoed Rabin

Associate Professor
Department of Mechanical Engineering
Carnegie Mellon University

Research Interests
Professor Rabin's research is related primarily to heat and mass transfer in biological systems, with applications to biology and medicine, including:

  • Minimally invasive cryosurgery
  • Cryopreservation of native and engineered tissues
  • Solid mechanics aspects of low temperature biology (fracture
    formation)
  • Temperature controlled microscopy
  • Electrical polypectomy
  • Nano heaters for thermal ablation
