Research Interests
Dr. Finger is on the faculty of Civil & Environmental Engineering. She is also affiliated with the Robotics Institute, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering and is the head of the Engineering Design Research Lab in the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems. She is the co-editor in chief of the journal Research in Engineering Design. Her research interests include representation languages for design, integration of design and manufacturing concerns, computer-supported cooperative learning. Her current projects include the design of a bioreactor and the development of surrogate models for bone tissue engineering.
