Research Interests
In collaboration with the Bone Tissue Engineering Center at CMU, my lab at Duquesne is examing in vitro systems for evaluating the behavior of bone cells for application in bone tissue engineering. These studies use mesenchymal stem cells and several cell lines (i.e. OPC1, MG-63) to assess the proliferation, migration, and differentiation of bone cells in 2-and 3-dimensional culture systems.
