Graduate Education
Opportunities
for graduate students (and potential students) interested in tissue
engineering are plentiful in Pittsburgh. At Carnegie Mellon, students
can obtain a master's or doctorate in Biomedical and Health Engineering,
and while doing so, can conduct research in tissue engineering. Two
members of BTEC are currently teaching courses related to tissue engineering
(Kacey Marra, Introduction
to Biomaterials, and Phil
Campbell, Introduction to Physiology). And, new courses in
tissue engineering are being developed by our faculty. For
more information on these two courses as well as all of the offered
graduate courses go to: CMU

At the University of Pittsburgh, bioengineering students can earn an
MS, a Ph.D., or an MD/Ph.D. For further information as well as graduate
